
Cincinnati Bengals – Decades of high and low
Cincinnati Bengals is headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, and a former member of the Professional Football League now-defunct American Football League (AFL). The AFL merged with the National Football League (NFL) in 1966. The Bengals' first season in 1968, playing as a franchise and the expansion team of the AFL, have become part of the NFL in 1970. The team is now part of the American Football Conference (AFC) North Division of the National Football League (NFL). Their uniform colors are black, white and orange.
His first season in the NFL
When he joined the AFL in the best running back Paul Robinson led the team has the honor of Rookie of the Year. In 1985, Boomer Esiason replaced Ken Anderson as a quarterback field. Like Anderson, Esiason has become one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. In 1987, Cincinnati has a win-loss record of 4-11. The following season, in 1988, finishing with a record of 12-4. Esiason won his first National Football Conference and won from the player of the year title with quarterback Randall Cunningham, Philadelphia Eagles. Among the top offense in the American Football Conference Cincinnati hall was James Brooks, opposite Anthony Munoz, and receiver Eddie Brown. The Bengals again ahead of his second game of the Super Bowl in a decade, playing against the San Francisco 49ers. But history repeats itself, the Bengals lost to the 49ers, who scored a touchdown the last minute.
1990 – A fight for Bengals
In 1990, the Bengals won again in the divisions to win its fifth division title. Boomer Esiason had 3000 yards in a season six times. The 1990s was a struggle for the Bengals in comparison with the decade 1980. Between 1992 and 1994, the Bengals won only eleven games.
