A truck of the mind: One of a Kind
"What is it?" You ask. In short, millions of truck drivers on the roads on any given day in the United States and each person has their own complaint or grievance. Most complaints are entirely justified, as long hours, low wages. Or, why not this? "The fuel price is killing me!"
Although there are many who feel the same as far as like to see more in the way of fair compensation for their efforts, no one will agree on what should be done to get what he wants. Some suggest a strike. Others will say: "I can not afford." Who? "No, I guess.
So what a trucker to do?
In Washington, Congress and the Senate meet the numbers. With over 3 million active drivers out there, you think it would attract his attention? Just think, 3 million e-mails, phone calls and letters arriving a few days apart from a truck driver in America. This may well tie the mail room on Capitol Hill, Ya Think? Is someone you care? Maybe!
Another option is to combine their forces. Gun owners in the U.S. are the National Rifle Association to advocate for their case to government. And say they do! With great success! Now, if all drivers of trucks in the U.S. have joined forces through a pressure group economic, and RNA? Do you think Congress and the Senate would be more inclined to pay attention and take action to protect the American truck driver? You bet I would. Three million votes in an election year to scare the beheebeegees given to a candidate if they knew they were going in the future those 3,000,000 votes.
It is therefore logical that if the truckers should unite on the one hand, the difference may be. But the government knows that the mentality of the typical driver – complain today, forget tomorrow, when it is time to act. If you leave the power to determine our future? Or, if the mandate that our future will be, with or without them?
The operator Owner, Independent Drivers Association (OOIDA) is the only voice that the truck driver in Washington. You can not count on the American Truck Association (ATA), but say they have more support among the truckers. It is a voice of business. The ATA speaks for Swift, Werner, JB Hunt, and all other companies involved in the trucking industry. This is not the individual driver of the truck. Terrorism Act not care as long as the benefits of the companies it represents.
Moreover, OOIDA speaks for the people. The movement of freight each day and night. Ensure that all the citizens of our country is able to find what they need at the grocery store and / or a department store. Our voice can be high with a nonprofit organization as OOIDA. For just $ 45 per year, we have a voice in Washington that is parallel to the voice, the RNA a. Oh, and the $ 45 is tax deductible as business expenses for the driver the truck. So there is really little or no cost involved that Uncle Sam will let you cancel your taxes.
Not sure? Go and check web site out! You will see aa OOIDA acted in several questions to the driver of the truck. To bend the ear of a sympathetic government official for the filing of actions class (no charge for members) to correct a wrong. They also have a complete list, an updated guide to what explains the government's actions are being considered that affect us, the driver of the truck. Nowhere else will you find such information. The site is free and become a member will cost less than a carton of cigarettes in most states.
Exit to the government's case to ignore us. Join now!
Oh, and you do not have to be a benefit national. Company drivers also need a voice, and Oodi is the only voice that well.
