What are the reasons of high class periods of the school should be shorter?

my school has 4 classes a day 86 minutes Course schedule. then the half year mark, "it takes more than four classes and start again. What are the reasons that make a good argument with periods schudule reduction of school time would be better for students?

Some reasons are as follows: / You can have periods of different topics each day can give a broader aggregate periods are too long for short attention spans you much work in progress one day. Teacher absenteeism is much more important than a lot of work is covered in a day.
