Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, until recently, the Texas State University was known as Southwest Texas State University. Texas State University was founded in 1899 as a normal school with an idea to train teachers. In 2003 the University has finally been recognized as Texas State University. Has campuses in Round Rock.
