Five universities in the north
What is the best university in the nation itself? The question might be rephrased: What is the best university in the North itself? Again and again, in the list after the list, the first university in the country is a North-East.
The names remain the same, but the order of changes, sometimes. Is it Harvard, Yale, Princeton or Princeton, Harvard, Yale or Yale, Princeton, Harvard? Given the prestige that comes with a diploma from one of these universities, it is sometimes difficult to find a difference.
But there is, of course, a difference. Each school offers its own version of the best and every student graduates, which quickly and easily identify fellow alums. A Yalie is a Yalie is a Yalie, if John Kerry or George Bush (to name two recent graduates of the profile of institution).
To graduate of these schools is to be a member of an elite club. For many hopes, it seems, education is an afterthought. The main goal is just to get Once the nostalgia, the admission is made, it's time to expire. In fantasy many candidates, the admission means that a lifetime of opening doors, poles included, and all the wealth, but guaranteed. Like all © cliché that Fantasy has a basis in reality. Graduate school here, go to great things and great things are often done by graduates of these schools.
Is it the ambition to be the best that the student get what you are doing to become CEOs and presidents? Or is there something inherent in the education provided in these institutions that shape the leaders? It's a chicken and egg question, it is very difficult to know the answer. But if someone to solve this problem, it is unlikely that he or she is a graduate of the prestigious institutions in this list.
1. Harvard University, Cambridge, MA
Harvard has long been synonymous the best (that â € œthe Harvard A. € | â €) as its head first in this list is unlikely to shake up the establishment of a way or another. Despite its many detractors, Harvard continues to attract the best students and teachers first, which makes the high tide in U.S. education. Being able to "leave H drop the bomb and say you went to Harvard, continues to impress more than one degree.
2. Yale University, New Haven, CT
The number two of Yale, the alma mater of presidents and powerful, has a heated contest with Harvard, which keeps the two schools at its best. One word, hello: Visit of New Haven, before accepting admission to Yale. The flavor of the campus and the city are different from those of the other ivy and can not be everyones € ™ s taste.
3. Princeton University, Princeton, NJ
Third Place Princeton University recently sacked some Harvard departments € ™ s most prestigious teachers, obtaining the degree academic and a new enthusiasm candidates. Forever in American homes Einstein, Princeton € ™ s pastoral setting is the ideal place to ponder imponderables on the road to success.
4. University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA
Founded by none other than Benjamin Franklin prestigious, Penn attract best candidates outside the top three schools on this list in providing the best education available anywhere in the world, with an emphasis on integration between academic and non-school experience. Penn is a great school.
5. Columbia University, New York, NY
Last but by no means at least, is the University of Columbia. Located above Central Park Manhattan, British leverages its position as the city-that-no-sleep to attract some of the students and teachers most creative and visionary of the nation's campus. Columbia is a great school, they teach the stellar sides not to fight cultural and internship opportunities.
If you are admitted to more than one of these schools, first of all, congratulations. Second, some advice: It is essential to spend time in and around the campus before making its decision, each is excellent and each has its own flavor.
